Keep a source copy and choose useful columns
Save an unchanged copy of the spreadsheet before editing. Keep one person per row and clearly named columns for the contact details you need. Remove empty rows and review duplicates. Phone numbers should include the country code; spreadsheet formatting must not strip the leading plus sign or zeros. Do not put passwords, health records or identity documents into a contact import.
Map and test a small sample
Export a CSV and use the app’s import flow to map the columns to contact fields. Start with a few representative rows, including an Arabic name, a company and an international phone number. Check the resulting records before proceeding. Correct unexpected character encoding or field mapping in the source, rather than repeating the full import and creating more duplicates.
Import data does not mean permission to message
Check your plan’s contact allowance first: Free supports 500 contacts. Importing a list is separate from connecting a mailbox, obtaining permission to contact someone and enrolling them in a follow-up sequence. After import, review duplicates and assign the next action only to active opportunities. Keep the original spreadsheet until your team has checked the imported data.
