Check the client and the connection method
Use an AI client that supports the MCP connection offered in Circlebase. Open the app’s AI connection settings and follow the displayed URL and authorization instructions; do not copy an endpoint from a third-party example. Client menus and subscription requirements vary. Sign in to the intended workspace and read the requested permissions before approving access.
Begin with a read-only test
Choose read-only access and ask for a summary of a test contact or the open deals in one pipeline. Check that the returned records belong to the intended workspace. If you need updates, enable the appropriate write access and ask for one small change on sample data. Confirm the result in Circlebase before allowing a larger task. A person’s role still limits the connection.
Know the boundaries and revoke unused access
MCP tools cannot send messages or delete records; drafts need a person to review and send. Free allows 500 tool calls per workspace per day. Pro and Business allow 5,000 per paid person per day, and one request can call multiple tools. Your external AI subscription is separate from the built-in assistant allowance. Disconnect clients you no longer use and check the privacy policy before sharing CRM context with another provider.
